NILAI SUN PROTECTION FACTOR EKSTRAK METANOL DAUN RAMBUTAN (Nephelium lappaceum) DENGAN SPEKTROFOTOMETRI

Penelitian pencarian agen tabir surya alami terus dikembangkan untuk mendapatkan yang lebih aman. Tabir diperlukan melindungi kulit dari bahaya sinar ultraviolet (UV). Sinar UV dapat bermanfaat bagi tubuh, namun menjadi berbahaya jika berlebih. Kemampuan suatu bahan dalam biasa dinyatakan sun protection factor (SPF). ini bertujuan mengetahui nilai SPF ekstrak metanol daun rambutan (Nephelium lappaceum). nantinya digunakan menambah wawasan mengenai potensi sebagai alami. Proses ekstraksi menggunakan metode maserasi dengan pelarut metanol. Pengukuran dilakukan secara in vitro spektrofotometri kemudian absorbansi diperoleh dihitung persamaan Mansur. menghasilkan pasta hitam kehijauan beraroma khas daun. Ekstrak konsentrasi 100, 200, 300, 400, 500, dan 1000 ppm memiliki kemampuan proteksi terhadap UV, berturut-turut sebesar 5,710; 10,398; 16,320; 20,920; 26,152; 37,983. Hasil berbeda tanaman sama terjadi dikarenakan pengambilan bagian tubuh diekstrak serta penggunaan jenis organik proses ekstraksinya.
